Ulverstone Environmental Management System
The Environmental Management System of the Ulverstone Production Centre applies to all activities, products and services conducted within the geographical boundaries of the Ulverstone facility including potato unloading and storage undertaken by the Field Services team.
Off-site activities associated with the growing and supply of raw materials, the manufacture and supply of ingredients, packaging and operating supplies and the removal of products from the site do not form a part of the scope. These activities, along with the disposal of packaging and waste materials are part of the life cycle aspects relevant to our business and are considered in the environmental aspects and impacts analysis together with controls where the impact is assessed to be significant.
The scope of the EMS incorporates the need to meet all regulatory requirements set by the EPA and TasWater and the environmental expectations and needs of our customers. We acknowledge that the requirements of all interested parties are generally increasing and commit to include these changes into the scope as required and where we have authority to control or influence them. We respect the needs and expectations of the community and will attempt to meet them but where they fall outside regulatory requirements we cannot guarantee to meet them and so do not include them in the scope of our EMS.
